An ambitious club

Up until 1970, Stade Saint-Germainois played mainly in white. It was only after fusion with PFC that the club adopted red and blue. Then, in 1973, fashion designer Daniel Hechter arrived at the club and designed a new jersey for the club. The jersey became a symbol of the club. The rest of the jersey remains navy blue, while the shorts and socks are red. Over the years, this jersey was replaced and modified, with narrower vertical stripes, color inversions and more. Francis Borelli was the first person to replace the Hechter jersey with a white tunic framed by red and blue stripes. Borelli's white jersey eventually took the place of Hechter's premier jersey in the hierarchy, becoming the club's premier jersey in 1981, relegating Hechter's jersey to second place. In 1993, the white jersey was abandoned in favor of much more red and blue shirts.then equipped by Nike, the PSG jersey kept changing durant throughout the 1990s and 2000s, with more or less successful revivals appreciated by PSG fans. Between piping, bars, stripes, reds, whites and blues, the club's jerseys have never ceased to evolve.
Recently, the club has been in the news for its branded jerseys Jordan. The manufacturer Nike and the club de la capitale wanted to give a more streetwear and sportswear look to the Paris Saint-Germain jersey collection.
