Copa Football Jersey Inter Milan 1964/65 Retro

The 1964-65 season turned out to be even more spectacular for Internazionale than its already highly successful predecessor. This time, the club reclaimed the Serie A title with an emphatic campaign marked by only two defeats and won its first Intercontinental Cup after three demanding matches against the Argentinians of Independiente.

The greatest pride came from successfully retaining the European Cup. This campaign was tougher, with tight matches against Rangers and Liverpool following an easy start against Dinamo Bucharest, but Inter triumphed to reach the final against Benfica. The match was played at home, at San Siro, and a goal from Brazilian winger Jair was enough to secure victory for Herrera's legendary team.
